With March 11, 2050, just days away, marking the 30th Anniversary of the declaration of Corona as a Pandemic, the world is at its lowest point. While many had complained the world was never benevolent even before the pandemic, the events that followed were frightening. Living a life with implications unimaginable by their ancestors, the current youth isn’t even slightly optimistic about the present let alone any future. The limited population of Earth is forced to live in concentration camps, isolated from the ravages of the outside world. No one has seen the sunlight in over ten years, except Bill, who escaped after losing his mind, evading the guards, only to become one of “them”, consequently being shot by the White Knight himself.

Despite the strict orders by “THE QUARANTINED” of not to speak on the history of the virus, the suburbs of the camp are inhabited by elders who live collecting garbage and narrating tales of life before the catastrophe. Adam had the privilege of meeting one of them called Ahsan who fascinated him by the tales, imagining the Golden Era of 2010–2020. According to Ahsan, the whole world was under the impression that the outbreak was an outcome of people eating bats in Wuhan. CIA, ISI, and RAW were convinced the virus was a biological weapon that was accidentally unleashed, involving themselves in a blame game. Earlier research concluded that it was hardly fatal with a 2% death rate. World Leaders, taking this as a positive sign, decided against lockdown to prevent its spread and opted to save their economies unaware of the implications it was yet to bring. By 2022, America proved to be the first state to fall victim to this as its population was hardly 10% of what it was in pre-Corona 2020.

It wasn’t the virus that exterminated the fire of the American nation, a list of disasters provoked the chaotic fall of the global hegemonic power. Five months into the pandemic, a police-officer brutally killed George Floyd, leading to a world-wide fight commonly known as the “BLACKS vs WHITES STRUGGLE”. Later, as Karl Marx once predicted, watching the rich lavishly enjoy the Quarantine at the expense of the poor who were dying at a much faster rate, forced the masses to raise arms against the bourgeoisie, taking over the way the countries ran, establishing themselves as the commanders, forming their own “Proletariat CULT”. The sudden outrage erupted after Jim Jardasion (one of the most highly paid models), broke all rules by organizing a large scale party on her home, consequently getting herself and her guests infected. Desperate for treatment and frustrated by the lack of medical facilities available, she immediately bought a hospital for $20 Million, forcing every patient to evacuate, reserving it for just her family. While being questioned by the press for this abrupt behavior, she replied “bitch I can do whatever I want with the money! Fuck off!” This very sentence became the slogan for the class struggle as the patients gathered and set fire to her mansion, triggering an all-scale brawl between the different classes. With capitals on the back foot by the class and ethnic movements, it was time for the religious elements to rise too. Years of persecution without any accountability had to lead to some dire consequences. It began with Uttar Pardesh India where the Muslims revolted against the Hindu oppression, seizing control of the capital, assassinating the Prime Minister in the process. Soon the fire spread all over the globe whether it was China, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Afghanistan. The highlight being the ruthless decision of President Xi to drop the atomic bomb on Shanghai, the base-camp of the combined rebellious forces consisting of Muslims, Tibetians, Non-Hans, Taiwanese, and people from Hong Kong.

Fighting among themselves, people ignored the fact that the pandemic was still on the horizon. While many had anticipated it to reach its peak in October 2020, it proved to be one-tenth of the real destruction. Assuming that the disease had a 14-day life-cycle, doctors were left lost for words as approximately after 9 months of getting cured, people would face an even stronger version of the virus, paralyzing their body, lungs collapsing with swallowing of the tongue proving to be the nail in the coffin as nearly eighty percent of the world succumbed to this microorganism. No medical treatment, doctor, or equipment would come to aid, as anarchy prevailed with every man for himself. With the world placing one step inside its own grave, almost losing hope, as most world leaders committed suicide after the weight of the people whom they failed got the better of them. Legend has it that in some areas of Asia, people would murder their fellow citizens if they spoke the phrase “GHABRANA NAHI HAY”. In such times, it was time for the mastermind to claim responsibility for his masterplan. On April 30th, 2024, Muller Hitler arrived in front of the world. The whole world was left speechless, cursing themselves for ignoring the cries of those who advocated that Hitler after all did escape to the South Pole.

“Even Operation HIGHJUMP by the Americans could not stop the legacy of my grandfather. While the World counted the Nazis to be finished, we watched you grow complacent, fight amongst your allies, waiting for the perfect opportunity to release STATAMAHA (Covid-19) on one of the superpowers. Only we have the cure……WE WILL RULE THE WORLD AGAIN”. The best was yet to come from the evil genius as the full metal glove on his right arm enabled him to control the micro-organic Corona virus present in abundance throughout the atmosphere as his followers were immune to this pandemic. The barbaric maniac demonstrated this unimaginable power while addressing the General Assembly of the U.N in their yearly session in Geneva (Since New York had fallen by then). With the genocide of all the executives present for the session, Earth entered a new phase. With a global vacuum of leaders, Nazi forces ran across continents, subduing the already crippling countries, fulfilling the wishes of THE FUHRER.

With Nazi forces just around the corner, WHITE KNIGHT, the undisputed leaders of the rebellious forces took control of a major portion of Asia, including countries formerly known as China, Russia, Mongolia, India, and Pakistan. No one knew who, where, and what he was? Dressed in a white suit somewhat similar to what the Doctors at Corona Wards used to wear, no one could identify what he looked like as his mask prevented others from looking at his face apart from his hazel shade eyes. Rumors circulated that he was the only person on Earth not to be exposed to the virus, being the ideal poster boy for the resistance against the Nazi weapon. White Knight was keen not to surrender to the tyrannical Muller, with a plan up his sleeve. He led all of his followers to the Northern Areas of Pakistan, to the mystical and gorgeous Saif-ul-Mulook Lake. There, with his order, the water from the lake started to overflow from the side near the tributary, with many fearing possibly drowning from suspected flooding. However, as others started fleeing, White Knight kept his cool, slowly walking towards the lake as an elevator arrived at the surface of the lake. THAT WAS HIS PLAN! A WHOLE CITY UNDER THE LAKE SURROUNDED BY MOUNTAINS FROM THREE SIDES! The concentration camp would become home to the later generation of mankind.

The inhabitants of this particular camp lived with White Knight directly supervising their well-being and the norms of the way people behaved. Years passed and the living of people changed considerably. Despite the precautionary measures, Corona did manage to penetrate the fortress designed by White Knight accompanied by various skirmishes with Muller Hitler, the inhabitants regularly hearing the distinctive sound of a cluster bomb on the surface above the lake. For Adam, his whole world revolved around the rules enforced by White Knight. Being born in the year 2030, he dreamt of the blessings his parents and forefathers relished. How would he know what motherly love is when he was born in a laboratory, like the other children around him with White Knight ordering people to donate their reproductive cells in the WHITE LABORATORIES and getting kids against a receipt verifying they’re above 25 years, entitling them to have a child allotted to them. Growing up without having the opportunity to see the other gender, without touching anyone, eating protein bars prepared by the Government of White Knight as the sole source of nutrition, facing the same weather and temperature, staring at the grey walls made his life dull and gloomy. All he does is visit the library, read the literature and prose written by poets and authors before his time, recreating the whole scenario in his head. Despite his lack of experience of the outside world, reading “Daffodils” by William Wordsworth makes him savor the chance to sit in a flower bed of daffodils, and just enjoy the happiness they bring.

While many have lost hope, Adam is still dreaming of an ideal future where White Knight and Muller Hitler would stop their attempts to establish their global hegemony, and end the pandemic which has been ravaging the planet for almost thirty long years. He imagines a future where he can finally feel the skin of others around him with a simple handshake (a practice banned for more than 20 years), differentiates the hard skin of a male common laborer, and the softness of the tender skin of girls. He wants to interact with the opposite gender too, a habit declared punishable by White Knight as he separated the two in hope of ending the sexual desires leading to closure. He wants to know why his father in a text message to his mother specified “I know you for ten years but I will never know what girls want”. What makes them distinctive from the male? And what’s with the trend of people commenting on Facebook posts, “Sending a hug to you!” What magic does a warm hug have that it helps you overcome all of your grief? Why did grandfather frown whenever his mother made ‘Pulses’? What made ‘Biryani’ so special? And finally, what is the magic in sitting with your friend watching the sunrise and set on the horizon? It is just a ball of fire and most teenagers preferred staying up late at night but still refer to the sun when they mention hope. With these unanswered questions, Adam hopes for a better future, one where he is not bound by the rules introduced by White Knight and free from Corona.

I pray all of you live to see the day past this Pandemic and cherish life!
